Essentially the sequel to Countdown to Infinite Crisis, The OMAC Project continues on Checkmate and its leader Maxwell Lord after he has killed Blue Beetle aka Ted Kord. After being discharged from the hospital, Booster Gold decided to investigate Ted Kord's dissapearance during the time of Countdown to Infinite Crisis. Alongside Batman, Wonder Woman, and Guy Gardner, the four eventually discover what happened to Ted Kord within Checkmate. This eventually led to Wonder Woman snapping Maxwell Lord's neck and thus further launching Brother Mk I and Maxwell Lord's endgame plan to kill all superhumans .
